Digital Learning Program
As part of Mandurah Catholic College’s ongoing commitment to provide excellent opportunities for our students, we are continuing our very successful Digital Learning Program (DLP). This is a joint initiative between our Senior and Junior Schools to ensure that our students are best prepared for life in the 21st Century.
The DLP means that your child will have access to a Digital Learning Device (DLD) each day they are at school as well as at home. This exciting opportunity will enhance their current learning as well as give students instant access to research materials and open up a vast array of different and varied ways to present their learning.
The DLD is parent funded either directly or through a lease system. This will give our students access to Apple Technology, as well as numerous programs and learning materials during their educational daily life.
Digital Literacy in the Junior School comprises elements from the ICT capabilities of the Australian Curriculum and the Digital Technologies curriculum and is taught using iPads. Digital citizenship is combined with computational thinking, research skills and digital publishing.
