Library in the ParkPosted in Literacy,Secondary on Wednesday, 6 November, 2019

The annual Library in the Park event was met with excitement and enthusiasm on what turned out to be a beautiful day. Many Secondary School students stopped by to check out the various activities and displays set up in Central Park over lunch time.
Head of Library Services Mrs Sarah Love described the event as fun and enlightening. “Library in the Park is a chance for us to showcase what happens in the library everyday. A lot of students don’t come through the doors often, so this lets them know what they are missing out on!” Activities included the pop-up library, an audio book through wireless headphones, story reading, giant chess, giant Connect 4, giant Jenga, and bocce.
Mrs Love is looking forward to creating a similar event for the Primary School students in the amphitheatre, tomorrow.
“Hopefully we have created some excitement about what we have available in the Library, and we look forward to seeing many more faces, regularly in the future!”
