The liturgical season of Advent
As we enter the Church’s new year, the season of Advent reminds us that we can look forward to and prepare for the coming of Christ at Christmas. It is a season of so many things; of expectation, reflection, hope and trust. We are constantly in a state of expectation, always in Advent, so much so that we can miss the present moment where, inevitably, God will be.

We have to wait, and Advent reminds us that we are waiting for God. How strange it is to think that in a way God also waits. He always waits for us to come to him for he never forces himself on us, and when we do come to him, he is delighted and will give us many graces.

It is jam-packed with Christmas events.

8th Annual Diocesan Summer Camp
We would love for young people aged 13 – 18 to join us for an awesome 4 day camp at our beautiful Catholic Youth Camp right on the beach in Busselton.

Summer Camp is filled with great activities, music, games, inspiring faith speakers, powerful prayer experiences and  great people.  In its eighth year, the Diocesan Summer Camp is a life changing event for many young people – some of which you will meet and hear from on camp. All young people are welcomed to join.

Our theme this year is “Anointed and Sent” and we will be using the scripture passage of Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

If you like making new friends, music, games and are open to experiencing your faith in new, exciting  and challenging ways than come along – we would love to have you with us!
