No Limits Cricket Win for MCC TeamPosted in Cricket,Secondary,Sport on Monday, 18 November, 2019

Cricket season is well and truly here!

On Friday 15 November, five brilliant ACC Integrated Cricket teams, including Mandurah Catholic College, attended Alderbury Reserve for a very competitive Rapid-Fire round of games.

Teams’ knowledge of the game and skills had definitely improved with many schools having clear tactics from the start of the day.

Last year’s champions, La Salle College were outdone in round one by a very determined Mercedes College team.

Other teams from John Wollaston and John XXIII College were very competitive and many rounds were very close in final scores.

Students were rewarded with certificates and special gifts from the WACA for participating.

MCC came up against Mercedes College for the final.

Last year’s runners-up, Mercedes were rested and ready for their hot final against a high scoring Mandurah team. The girls started off strongly with some great batting and running between the wickets. Mandurah batted next, with their big hitters placing the ball well and making some high scores.

Final score: Mandurah Catholic College (36) defeated Mercedes College (34).

Well done to all involved!
