Insurance and AppleCare Protection Plans
The College strongly recommends that you insure your DLD or have sufficient funds available to facilitate repairs or replacement. AppleCare Protection Plans are widely available, however you may wish to check with your existing home and contents policy to see if you have cover for digital devices.
The College strongly advises the purchase of the AppleCare warranty with your device. This provides 3 years of cost free repairs against mechanical failure. Information about AppleCare products for iPad AppleCare+ and MacBook AppleCare
What if I break my DLD?
Repairs can be facilitated either at the Apple Store, or within the College by our Apple registered repairers, PRA Solutions, who visit the College twice on a weekly basis.
Changing technologies and software updates are a never-ending task for our IT support team, who aim to ensure continuous operation within the College for our students. Our IT Help Desk located within the Learning Hub has proven a great success. Not only has this proved that the Learning Hub is a true digital learning environment within the College but also a focal point and one-stop shop where students can search, learn, solve problems and also have their computers repaired with minimal fuss and maximum expertise.
