Sharing newfound skillsPosted in Secondary on Tuesday, 4 December, 2018

Year 7 students have been mashing avocadoes, concocting cake creations and tackling the sport of rugby as part of their final term studies in the Learning Hub.

Project Based Learning invites students to identify a skill they are particularly interested in and learn more about it.  Once they decide on the skill, students research its background and design a short lesson so they can share their newfound knowledge by teaching their peers.

The past fortnight has been a hive of activity in the Hub as the students embarked on their many short workshops.  They have learnt about skills ranging from how to make a face mask or solve a rubix cube, to hydro dipping, origami, cake decorating and rugby tackling.
