Tell us about your family:
I have been married to Noel for 26 years and have 3 daughters. Emma aged 21 studying medicine at UWA, Sophie studying Classical Voice (Opera Studies) at WAAPA and Alice who is in year 6 at MCC. We are a fantastic team!
What about your education:
When I finished high school I trained as a Stage Manager before I decided to complete a Bachelor of Psychology at Murdoch University. I went back to complete a Graduate Diploma in Business Growth Management whilst running my business. Later in my career I returned to complete a Graduate Diploma in Teaching.
Tell us about your history with MCC:
I have been a teacher with MCC for 5 years spending 2 years in the Primary classroom and the last 3 years teaching Performing Arts. All three of my children have attended MCC so I have been part of the MCC community for the last 8 years.
What did you do before MCC?
Before coming to MCC I taught at Pinjarra Primary School which was my first year of teaching. Prior to this I had run a business, work as a Psychologist in rehabilitation and spent time as a Stage Manager.
What do you in the community?
We have just recently moved to Perth so I am currently settling in my family and discovering our new area. In the past I have volunteered my time on various boards and committees including the Mandurah Business Enterprise Centre, Small Business Development Centre, MPAC Marketing committee and worked as Stage Manager on various local Productions.
Tell us about your passion:
I am passionate about helping kids to discover, create and explore their limits and grow their skills and talents. In particular I love being involved in introducing the world of performing arts to kids and witnessing the impact this can have on their confidence, communication and social skills.
What are you listening to/ watching/ reading right now?
I am watching the latest season of A Handmaid’s Tale and Chernobyl.
What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement in life would have to be my beautiful girls. In my career I have had many highlights with one of the most special being awarded WA Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year.
What do you love about our College?
I love that our students have the opportunity to get involved in so many different areas and discover what it is they love.
What are your plans for the future?
To keep teaching and learning!

So hard to choose just one.
